Dr. Baxter Larmon honored
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Larmon for receiving the JEMS Lifetime Achievement Award, presented at EMS Today in Baltimore last month. Bax established the PCRF in 1992 and is the driving force behind its success as the premiere prehospital care research organization in the U.S. His leadership and dedication to facilitating research has helped shape the face of prehospital care as we know it.
EMS Today Abstracts set new records
The PCRF had a record year at EMS Today 2016: We had a full room with over 100 attendees as our oral abstracts were presented. Twelve abstracts were presented in total.

New PCRF Director
Dr. Larmon becomes the Founding Director and officially passes the torch to David Page
Bax is the heart and soul of the PRCF and… he has officially retired as Director of the PCRF at UCLA. As his role transitions into a new phase, the board voted unanimously to move him into a new and unique Founding Director position. He will continue to share his wisdom and guidance, as well as assist with PCRF workshops and other projects.
David Page, MS, NRP, a long time member of the PCRF board has assumed the role of director. Mr. Page is also a Senior Lecturer and PhD candidate for the Department Of Community Emergency Health And Paramedic Practice at Monash University. He continues to practice as a field paramedic with Allina Health EMS in St. Paul, MN. With over 30 years of EMS experience he is an award winning national and international speaker, researcher and writer. Please welcome and support Dave as he continues Dr. Larmon’s work.
Australian Research Winner Presents at EMS Today
Special thanks to Kylie Dyson BHlthSc (Hons), PhD Candidate and member of the Australian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (Aus-ROC), from the Monash University School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
