Start Your Healthcare Career with LA’s Top EMT Program
Expert UCLA program faculty teach our EMT courses at Westwood and El Segundo locations to prepare students for EMT certification. Students will receive education on how to provide medical assistance to citizens suffering a medical emergency or traumatic injury.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some changes have been made to the course delivery. Lectures which were scheduled to be on-site have been moved to an interactive online format. Skills laboratories are conducted on-site following strict social distancing standards, and require facial coverings consistent with the guidelines for the County of Los Angeles.
Students are asked to only attend class if they are healthy and students will complete a UCLA Health Symptom Survey for each day they are on-site. We will continue to update our website for prospective students as conditions and guidelines change. Students who are enrolled in a course will receive updates via email from the Center and their course instructor.

Accelerated EMT Program:
This four-week EMT course is a great offering for students looking to start treating patients quickly. This class format has provided success to thousands of EMTs.
Duration: 4 weeks
Lectures & Skills Labs: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 8AM-5PM
Online EMT Program:
This ten-week course is a great offering for students looking for EMT training with a flexible schedule. This class format includes online lectures, self-paced interactive assignments, and on-site skills labs.
Duration: 10 Weeks
Lectures: Mon & Wed. 7PM-9PM
Skills Labs - choose one:
• Sat 8AM-5PM
• Sun 8AM-5PM
• Tues & Thurs 6PM-10PM
Students must attend at least one online lecture at the scheduled time per week (lectures are all recorded). There are two options for skills labs; you must attend the selected time slot for the duration of the course.

Non-Refundable Fee: $100
Complio: For EMT courses that start after September 20, 2021, students will use Complio to track compliance with medical requirements such as immunizations. Complio requires a one-time cost of $18, plus an additional $42 for a background check. These costs are not included in course fees.
EMT Prep
With an EMT level review of various topics, the EMT Prep class will provide you with insights and knowledge into the EMS field.
