Thank you for your service

Thank You.

UCLA’s Center for Prehospital Care wishes to honor and recognize all EMS professionals at home and around the world as we celebrate EMS Week 2020. These selfless men and women are on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis every day to protect the health and well-being of our communities. We wish to recognize the selfless calling of our EMS professionals and especially those brave individuals who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Worldwide, EMS professionals have mobilized an extraordinary effort to help those affected by the COVID-19 crisis, all while still responding to the everyday emergencies that continue to occur in their communities. In the US alone, EMS professionals are called to serve 37 million times each year and persist in the face of new challenges, including the lack of access to PPEs and fellow workers who are stricken with this virus.

For many in EMS, the sense of responsibility to the community does not end when the shift does. Every day, EMS professionals go beyond the call with heroic dedication to lifesaving patient care and give their time, energy and heart to serve. Every day, EMS professionals are called upon to help others through the most frightening time of their lives. Every day, EMS professionals provide a security and relief during challenging and chaotic times.

To all of these fine, brave men and women in EMS

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
