Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Refresher
Every practicing EMT is required by Los Angeles County to renew his/her EMT certification every two years. We offer you the CPR, refresher course, skills testing, and Continuing Education courses to help you meet this requirement!
Los Angeles County has specific requirements to recertify your EMT certification depending on whether your certification has:
expired for less than 6 months
expired 6 months but less than 1 year
expired for more than 1 year but less than 2 years
If your certification has expired for 2 years or more, they require you to retake the EMT-Basic Course and meet all of the National Registry requirements - so do not let time get away from you!
You can earn the CEUs in our courses such as EMT Preparation, Paramedic Preparation, BLS, Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and others.
In addition to 24 hours of CEUs of Instructor lead credit (or completion of this approved EMT Refresher course), all EMTs must pass the State of California skills exam. Our Refresher course provides this testing for you. We can also provide the skills examination alone for a separate skills testing fee. Please contact us for additional information.
