Konrad Krzywicki, who will join UCLA Paramedic Program Class 52 in May, has been awarded the inaugural Ryan Sorek Memorial Scholarship. Among a number of qualified and deserving candidates, the selection committee noted Konrad's philanthropic efforts and desire to serve his community on a broad basis.
Ryan Sorek was a 2002 graduate of the UCLA Paramedic Program who died as a result of an on-duty exposure leading to lymphatic myocarditis. His family and friends, with Face Off With Cancer, have established the Ryan Sorek Memorial Scholarship to support future UCLA paramedic students.
