Dr. Baxter Larmon, Director Emeritus of the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care, has been named to the EMS Nomenclature Project of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). We are all honored by his selection for this role and lucky to see his talents, experience, intellect and humor put toward the future of our profession. The EMS Nomenclature Project will examine whether the name "Emergency Medical Services" adequately and appropriately captures the breadth and depth of our profession, or whether new terminology is needed. At right, Dr. Larmon facilitates the opening session of the project. Learn more at EMS World.
