Katie came to UCLA from Northern Virginia where she taught in the community college system for EMS and nursing simulation. She also continues to be an instructor at The GW MFA Department of Emergency Medicine Training Center. She is also an active paramedic for GW's Innovative Practice Division.
Katie received her Master of Public Policy from George Mason University and has completed advanced simulation training at Harvard's Center for Medical Simulation.
She started in EMS in high school and has been an active field provider since 2002. She is passionate about research and simulation.
