The UCLA EMT Skill Verification Course is conducted as part of the EMT Refresher Course. Successful completion of the EMT Refresher Course will provide the student the required State Skill Verification Form as well as the 24 hours required to renew the EMT license in the State of California. The EMT Refresher Course also provides the 40 hours necessary to renew the NREMT certification, however the additional hours are optional and at the student's discretion.
Attendance during all 3 days of the EMT Refresher Course is required for successful completion. The second and third day of the EMT Refresher provide a detailed review of each skill required as well as the verification of competency. Successful completion of the EMT Refresher Course will also provide sufficient documentation to meet the requirements for NREMT Psychomotor Skill Test.
In recognition of the COVID19 Pandemic and high number of EMTs who need to complete the skill training, verification, and education hours for renewal prior to the end of the 2021, the Center will not be hosting a stand-alone skill verification course. Instead, please visit our EMT Refresher Course Page for course dates and enrollment instructions.
