Sara has been a registered nurse since 1995, and has worked in emergency medicine continuously.  She joined a busy Antelope Valley emergency room, and earned her mobile intensive care nurse certification.  While there, she was promoted to being the night-shift assistant ED director.

She then became an assistant ED manager at Providence Holy Cross Hospital . While there, she worked in quality improvement which moved her into a position at the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency for two years.

Sara took a post with the Medical Alert Center as the nurse consultant. She was responsible for quality improvement and continuing education for the MAC coordinators.  She was instrumental in developing a coordinated approach between emergency medical service providers and the MAC during multi-casualty incidents.

During this time, she became part of the CPC team, working as the part-time quality improvement facilitator and ride-along nurse for Alhambra Fire Department.

Sara still works full time for L.A. County .  Now, however, she is an EMS field nurse in the Antelope Valley with the county fire department. She is responsible for continuing education for paramedics and EMTs for the county and Alhambra Fire Departments.
