Steven J. Rottman, MD, FACEP

Dr. Rottman is professor of Emergency Medicine and Community Health Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine and the School of Public Health at UCLA.  He directs the UCLA Center for Public Health and Disasters, one of the Centers for Public Health Preparedness designated by the US Centers for Disease Control, and is the Medical Director for the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care.


Dr. Rottman is a senior attending physician in the UCLA Emergency Medicine Center.  He also teaches three of the seven graduate courses on disaster public health in the UCLA MPH program, is a principle investigator on several research and training grants, and has authored numerous scientific papers in the fields of EMS and emergency public health.  He serves as Associate Editor of Prehospital and Disaster Medicine, has served as President of the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine.
