Patty is a Registered Nurse, Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), and Flight Nurse (CFRN) whose passion for Emergency Medicine has taken her from the Emergency Department setting to the highly critical and specialized Prehospital Care arena of Flight Medicine. As a CFRN, she is among only 2500 nurses in the country who have studied long and hard to increase their expertise in Critical Care Nursing and Flight Physiology to achieve this certification. She is an active member of the Air & Surface Transport Association (ASTNA) and attends many national conferences to enhance her specialized educational base of knowledge.     Patty maintains her expertise in Flight Medicine as a flight nurse and part of the team at California City Fire Department Medivac Helicopter Program. Patty has hones both her technical skills along with knowledge base, to become a valued lecturer in Flight Physiology & Aeromedical Emergencies, providing initial certification and recertification programs for paramedics, nurses, and doctors. She is well respected by all her “flight” team members and by her fellow nurses and doctors in the emergency room she works in.
