Brian
Wheeler, AGS, EMT-P, CCEMT-P
Brian Wheeler is the Paramedic Educator for the UCLA - Daniel Freeman Paramedic Education Program. He moved to the West Coast from Illinois where he most recently worked as the Paramedic Base Supervisor at Air Evac Lifeteam - though most of his flight experience comes from Loyola LIFESTAR at Loyola University Medical Center, Chicago. Brian holds an Associate of General Studies from Joliet Junior College and is a licensed Paramedic and certified Critical Care Paramedic. He has worked in both rural and urban systems in Illinois for over 15 years as a ground and flight paramedic, critical care paramedic, and EMS Systems Manager. He has also spent time teaching throughout the US and around the world in primary and continuing EMS education including recent experiences in Italy teaching pediatric and geriatric specialty programs. Brian is or has been on the faculty at Loyola University Medical Center, Will / Grundy EMS System, and the University of Maryland Baltimore County Critical Care and CE Programs.
