Atilla Uner, MD

Dr. Uner has served as the Associate Medical Director for the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care since 1999 and is actively involved in the Center's administration and teaching. He is the Medical Director for the UCLA EMS radio base station and participates regularly in training with FEMA Urban Search and Rescue team CA TF-1. He has also served as the chair of the EMS committee of the American Academcy of Emergency Medicine, and is a member of the national FEMA USAR medical working group

Among his many involvements, Dr. Uner is an Assistant Professor Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and is an Attending Emergency Physician at the UCLA Medical Center and at Antelope Valley Hospital.

Dr. Uner attended medical school at the Free University of Berlin (West) in Germany and completed hi doctorate in 1992. After internships at the University of Hamburg and St. Luke's Medical Center, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at UCLA and graduated as chief resident in 1997. He then completed an EMS fellowship at UCLA and obtained a Master's degree in Epidemiology at the UCLA School of Public Health in 2002.
