Full-Time Positions EMT Program Coordinator The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care is just one of three centers of its kind in the nation, and the leading emergency and prehospital academic center on the West Coast. Through the UCLA Emergency Medical Technician Programs, we educate over 1,000 students each year. We are currently seeking a full-time EMT PROGRAM COORDINATOR to complement our existing staff and faculty. ROLE: The EMT Program Coordinator works closely with the EMT Program Director, Principal Instructor, and additional Program Coordinator, and is responsible for coordinating all facets of the clinical skills curriculum for the EMT and EMT Refresher Programs. The responsibilities include: coordinating the practical and clinical sessions; supervising and mentoring assigned Clinical Instructors during skills sessions; administering, grading, and recording scheduled student examinations; ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are at course locations (transportation of equipment is necessary); lecturing in EMT and BLS programs. Part-Time Positions The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care is one of the leading emergency and prehospital academic center on the West Coast. One of only four centers of its kind in the nation, the Center is dedicated to advancing the systems and methods of EMS. We teach, test, and certify the people who provide care to the ill or injured in the prehospital setting.
Duties: ACLS and PALS Instructors provide lecture presentations and skills instruction according to American Heart Association Community Training Center standards. Courses are provided for the UCLA Medical Center and general medical community at large. Responsibilities include: providing mini-demonstrations, acting as a student advocate in the learning process, and creating an active learning environment. The Clinical Instructor position is a part-time (per diem) position with a starting rate of $24.00 per hour.
Qualifications: Current Paramedic or Registered Nurse license. One (1) year minimum of field or clinical experience (working as a Paramedic or RN. One (1) year minimum of teaching experience. Current BLS provider certification. ACLS and/or PALS or PHTLS provider and instructor certifications.
Applicants must also have excellent communication skills, be available to work evenings and weekends, be able to work independently and have skill in working and collaborating as part of a team.

Duties: EMT Clinical Instructors provide short skills presentations and instruction in the UCLA EMT Program. Responsibilities include: providing mini-demonstrations and instructing students in practical skills, acting as a student advocate in the learning process, and creating an active learning environment. The EMT Clinical Instructor position is a part-time (per diem) position with a starting rate of $10.72 per hour.
Qualifications: Current EMT certification. Six (6) months of EMT working experience. Current BLS provider certification. Current BLS Instructor certification (can be trained). Previous teaching experience (preferred). Applicants must also have excellent communication skills, be available to work evenings and weekends, be able to work independently and have skill in working and collaborating as part of a team.

One of only four centers of its kind in the nation, the Center is dedicated to advancing the systems and methods of EMS. We teach, test, and certify the people who provide care to the ill or injured in the prehospital setting.
Duties: National Registry Examination Proctors are responsible for testing paramedic candidates according to National Registry standards. National Registry Examinations are held on Sundays and are approximately ten hours in length, six times per year. The position requires the applicant to proctor at least three examinations a year. No prior proctoring experience necessary. The National Registry Examination Proctor is a per diem position with a pay rate of $20 per hour. Breakfast and lunch provided on exam dates.
Qualifications: One-year of work experience as a paramedic within the last three years, current paramedic license, ACLS instructor certification preferred. The position requires the applicant to proctor at least three examinations a year.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated work experience as a phlebotomist.

Several part-time per diem positions are available with a starting rate of $20 per hour.
Qualifications: Current licensures as a paramedic or RN is required. One year work experience as a paramedic or relevant clinical experience is required. BLS and ACLS provider certifications are required (instructor certifications are preferred). PALS/PHTLS provider/instructor certifications are preferred. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Applicants must also have applicable computer skills, excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have skill in working and collaborating as part of a team.
