your specialty, the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care offers an incredible
range of opportunities for an EMS Educator.

We are the leading emergency and prehospital academic center on the West Coast, and when it comes to providing outstanding education, we're thoroughly committed to your creative and entrepreneurial spirit. One of only four centers of its kind in the nation, the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care is dedicated to advancing the systems and methods of EMS. We teach, test, and certify the people who provide care to the ill or injured prior to hospital admission.

We are all committed to improving the practice of EMS and have consolidated prehospital education, research, and system development into one major academic center.

Bring your clinical experience, teaching talent, and desire to make an impact to the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care. We have opportunities at every teaching level. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is required (6 months for EMT Clinical Instructors). Teaching experience is preferred (but not required) on entry-level skills instructor positions.
The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care offers both full-time career and part-time employment opportunities. Our part-time per diem positions are flexible with convenient schedules that allow instructors to easily work around their current jobs.
As an Instructor, employees have an opportunity to:

receive the latest information on current and new EMS education requirements
help educate and train the students that will be part of the EMS workforce in the future, and
by teaching others, improve their own clinical skills competency.
The time requirements are minimal but the rewards are immense.

Full-time employees are eligible for over 3 weeks combined of paid holiday and vacation days and a two-third UCLA tuition reduction program available after 6 months of continuous service.
